Hosted by Paola Flachi & resident DJ and co-host Paris Allen, Mama Mia Milonga runs from the Unitarian Church in Chorlton on the last Saturday of the month. The milonga normally attracts dancers from the surrounding cities such as Leeds and Sheffield. It’s not the biggest milonga you will find but it’s often packed with great, warm and friendly dancers, and as an added bonus, there’s usually free beverages and snacks to be found (and everyone loves Paris :D).

NIAMOS MILONGA
NIAMOS RADICAL ARTS CENTRE, MANCHESTER, M15 5EU
Hosted by Belinda, Lorenzo, and SAlvatore, Niamos milonga runs out of the Niamos Radical Art Centre. Sometimes it pops up every few months, other times you’ll find it running monthly. Check social media to see when it’s running next. The old theatre is a very cool setting for a milonga and the building is steeped in character. This milonga also attracts dancers from far and wide. There’s a bar inside, there’s always food, and the atmosphere is fantastic.

POEMA MILONGA

Organised by the Northern Tango Academy, Poema milonga is hosted by NTA’s currently local teachers. At the moment that is the excellent duo, Giusy Santoro and Diego Ledesma. The milonga runs from the lovely hall of Ullet Road Church with it’s high peaked ceilings and lovely floor. Most often there is a lesson that precedes this milonga, usually starting at 15:00.

Hosted by Rute & Unsal, Milonga Pasion is currently the best attended milonga in the North West. Pulling in DJs and dancers from all over the country. The venues are always superb, and antendees can expect to find food, drinks, and big smiles there.
